Charlotte NC - Renaissance Park
City/County: Charlotte
Trail Directions: I-77 to Tyvola Rd. Tyvola to Renaissance park ball fields.
Trail Length: 6.5 miles
Trail Level: Trails for all skill levels
Trail Type: Singletrack
For a great morning or afternoon ride, Renaissance rocks. Its easy to follow and seldom crowded. Beginners can walk the hard parts - two creek crossings, a few good hills. Bunny hops are awesome and there are a few good ups and downs to work the gears on. IT does become a bit soupy after rain and snow (even more fun!) - wear clothes suited for Carolina red mud. Renaissance is great for a weekday workout and developes your skills for the weekends at longer, harder trails. It's the best urban trail I've seen - out in these woods, crossing creeks, you almost forget you are in the middle of a large city. Recommended Route:Tyvola Rd - trails circle colliseum parking lotsStart at Tennis courts ride to soccer field and around. Local bike shops have maps or download it from the internet.
