Trail Type: Singletrack
6 miles of single track and open meadows with lots of short steep climbs and downhills with some log and water crossings and one very big soap box derby hill.
Probably the most challenging MTB trail in the area, the now 7+ miles of singletrack at Hobby are fast, often steep, occasionally rooty or rocky, and very aerobically demanding. I've ridden it nonstop only a few times, when the temperature and trail conditions were perfect (but dozens of times when I gladly stopped for a "water break" - really just an excuse to suck wind). The big killer hill ("sewer hill") is now optional, as the main trail switches back to the right to get to the top - a godsend for my 50-yo carcass. This is a true mountain trail, and will get you in shape or bust your butt trying. Recommended Route:Clockwise (straight out the back of the gravel lot to the left as you enter, past the marquis notice board).
